(not quite a) Year in Japan

In Osaka, wooooo!

And where else to go in Osaka for dinner than the busiest street in the entire Prefecture – Dōtonbori!

On a Friday.

On a national holiday.

It was quite fun just looking at all the sights and whatnot, but when it came to…well you know, actually eat, it was a tad inconvenient! Ended up walking about 10 mins down the road to a busy, but significantly quieter area, and enjoyed some interesting ramen.

Just a note, from my experience of Osaka so far (as of writing, 3 days) these kinds of crowds were fairly unique to that area of the city (plus the fact it’s Golden Week), in general compared to Tokyo, the streets are less densely packed, and the people seem less immediately annoyed by everyone and everything. Which is nice.
